Women accuse PPDA of sexual violence on TV explain why they spoke up

They notably told how the passage of Patrick Poivre d’Arvor in the program “Quotidien” of TMC, in March, pushed them to contact the investigator in charge of the case, as reported by France info . “The whole of this program was chilling for me. (…) He explained that the women who accused him of rape were liars, cowards, since they were anonymous”, declared the former journalist Hélène Devynck. “The day after this program, I contacted the investigator and I went to testify.”

“I received these remarks like a slap”, explains journalist Emmanuelle for his part. Dancourt. “When he started talking about anonymity, ‘nobody came to see me eye to eye’ … I said to myself ‘it’s not possible, we can’t let this go’ “.
