The Music and Organ association in Villefranche invites you to a very nice concert next Sunday, 17 October, at 17 hours, in the collegiate church. The female vocal ensemble Ad’O, conducted by Rolandas Muleika (photo opposite), as well as a soprano soloist, a cello and two organs, will perform works around the theme of Notre-Dame. The program, around a repertoire ranging from medieval to Baroque times, offers a discovery of the surprising polyphonies dedicated to the Virgin. Among the composers from all over Europe, we can hear Charpentier, Lully, and others less known but just as talented. The professional ensemble Antiphona from which the female choir comes, and its conductor, Rolandas Muleika, strive in particular to reveal to the public works, known or not, from the ancient repertoire of Occitania. Among the CDs recorded by this formation, we could appreciate the one offering unpublished works from manuscripts of great musical value and from the Chapel of the Black Penitents of Villefranche. The choir will be accompanied by a positive organ, as well as the cello of Susan Edward. He will also dialogue with the tribune organ, under the fingers of Soari Sato, and with soprano Eva Tamisier. Participation 15 € (free for children under 17 years). Health pass.
