Pont-du-Casse. An exceptional duo for strings in concert this Friday

the essential Association affiliated to the Education League, Passerelle Musicale en Agenais is organizing a concert with top-level artists this Friday 12 November at 20 h 30 at the Le Diapason cultural center.

These two internationally renowned artists will perform works by Kodaly and Martinu (“Duets for violin and cello”) in the first part, then by Ravel (“Sonata for violin and cello”) and Handel / Halvorsen (“Passacaglia for violin and cello”) in the second part. Sophie Ackermann is a violinist who has performed as a soloist in a multitude of festivals. After obtaining her master’s degree from Daniel Rubenstein at the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Belgium), she continued her studies at Tel Aviv University in the class of Hagai Shaham. She then performed as a chamber musician on all continents. In 2020 she recorded with Nicolas Deletaille a CD featuring the romantic and classical repertoire. The latter, a cellist also from the Mons Conservatory, soloist and chamber musician, has recorded numerous works for cello (Bach, Beethoven, etc.) and, in the field of contemporary music, has performed nearly one hundred world creations of works written on more often to his attention. The largest halls have already welcomed these two musicians who should attract to our lands all lovers of classical music. After the concert, the friendship drink will be offered by the municipality of Pont-du-Casse. A beautiful evening in perspective.
