Some lucky vacationers were able to see a rapper tumble aboard a van on the beaches of Narbonne in Saint-Malo for improvised and impromptu concerts. He’s like that, Lujipeka (photo) : never where you expect, always surprising. After the beaches, the road will take him to the Elysée Montmartre on 09 next December and the Bikini, this Thursday 16 September, is one of the first dates on this tour. Concerts as festive as they are free, an extension of the summer ideally called “Summer Tour Pt. 2”.
Bulimic of meetings and charismatic showman, the native of Rennes is perfectly at ease in his time and his relaxed spontaneity makes “Luji” a perfect representative of his generation, to whom he holds out a tender and endearing mirror throughout the two EPs he has produced in recent months, as well as his latest titles, including the aptly named “Putain d’Époque”. “I do not represent anything, but I represent it anyway,” he says, half laughing, half bravache. Lujupeka is in any case a rapper passionate about music. His debut album, “Roller Coaster” is due out at the end of the year and a new music video, “Pas à ma place”, has just been released. First stage of a scheduled ascent, this Thursday at the Petit Bikini.
Lujipeka in a showcase and meeting Thursday 16 September at 17 h at the Petit Bikini (Canal technology park, Ramonville Saint Agne). Free admission.
