“It's detestable”: Vanessa Paradis reacts to the controversy over the price of her theater tickets

the essential Vanessa Paradis reacted to the controversy over the price of some of her theater tickets, considered too high.

From this Tuesday 14 September, the famous actress Vanessa Paradis is playing in the play Maman at the Edouard VII theater in Paris, written by her husband Samuel Benchetrit. The French singer plays the role of Jeanne, a saleswoman in a ready-to-wear store for pregnant women, alongside Eric Elmosnino, Félix Moati and Gabor Rassov. However, the star has found himself at the heart of a small controversy in recent days. The reason ? The very high price of certain seats.

In an interview with JDD Sunday 12 September, Vanessa Paradis returned to this review. “Certainly some are very expensive. They cost 98 euros and correspond to the golden square, or only 60 armchairs on the 790 of the theater! What we say less is that there are some at euros! “, she clarified. “Afterwards, it’s a private theater, which does not receive any subsidy. It will reopen with our play and maybe these seats will allow it to survive.”

The singer defended herself to be at the origin of this pricing: “I had nothing to do with it and I find it detestable to be blamed. I have always made sure that the price of my concerts is not too high”.
