Fleurance. Theater and music for the “Pink October” operation

Today, as part of “Pink October” and Seniors’ Week, the municipality is offering a free play “Adopt a young. Com” at 15 h followed by a concert of Latin music by Rosi Garrido Quintet, at 20 h 30.

In the first part, therefore, of the theater with “Adopte un jeune.com” at 15 h, salle du Méridional.

Delphine, 90 years old, widow, begins to have weaknesses and is afraid of remaining alone in the evening and at night. Her son suggests that she welcome someone into her home. Resisting this idea, she starts a discussion with her neighbor, Marinette, who tries to make her listen to reason. They each review a part of their life: summer 36 for one, her activism for the other … Ultimately, Delphine will be convinced. And will be delighted with her decision and the presence at home of a young mother and her little girl.

In the evening, make way for music with Rosi Garrido Quintet at 20 h 30, place du Marcadet (possible retreat at the Théâtre Le Southern in case of bad weather). Rosi Garrido, Brazilian singer-songwriter, accompanied by Pascal Thibaut on guitar, Nicolas Thevenin on bass, Pau Vanderhaegen on piano and Bruno Josué on percussion, will offer a free Latin music concert this evening. After several stopovers in Africa and the Pacific, Rosi Garrido returns to settle down in France. And it is the Gers that she has chosen to offer a repertoire drawn from her two albums, born in 2014 and 2017, and new unpublished compositions.

This experienced quintet has no equal when it comes to sharing this passion for Brazilian music and creating a most festive atmosphere. It is a whole rhythmic universe, sparkling and sunny, rich in the various musical encounters and exchanges experienced throughout the world, which will be offered.

Together, they offer a unique journey between Rosi’s Brazilian musical roots and the various influences that have marked her career. These two animations are free.
