“Alec Baldwin was not supposed to use that gun”

“Mr. Baldwin chose to play Russian roulette when he fired his gun without checking it and without the gunsmith checking it in his presence,” said Mamie Mitchell’s lawyer, recalling that the actor would have had to check his gun. “Her behavior and that of the producers of Rust were irresponsible. We are suing all the producers of the film” she continued.

“Alec Baldwin was not supposed to actually use this gun. He had to point it in the direction of the camera.
